Donate to Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund Let's face it. That show was incredible. Led Zeppelin performed a great tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun.  A good many of you have been lucky enough to have a copy of that show already, just a week after the performance.... FREE.

If you haven't done so already, be sure to do the right thing, and show your appreciation for the band and their chosen cause at this time. When donating, let them know you are giving because you have a copy of the show.

Donating to the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund

The donations are in British Pounds. For us Yanks in the US, with the falling value of the dollar, 1GB = $2 USD. So keep that in mind when filling in the numbers.  5 GB = $10.  You can donate whatever you want, but let's use a recommended $5 (US dollar) for each version of the show you might have downloaded (or acquired).

  • downloaded slowburn flac version
  • downloaded 'we did it'  flac version
  • downloaded 2 incomplete videos

That's about 4 versions of the show, even if the videos are incomplete.  So, 4 x $5 = $20.   which is approxiamately £10.   Go to the donation page and enter your info.

Enter your message. Give them an indication of why you are donating, saying something like "downloaded from internet, giving some back" or maybe more opinionated like "give us music without copy-protection, and we will pay for it".  It's up to you, but be respectful since it is a charity, and we are showing our appreciation are we not?

Also remember that your message is posted on their site for the world to see.

Don't delay. There are only a few weeks left to donate. Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund

Donation page closed

It's been over a month since Led Zeppelin performed a great tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun.  Many of us were able to acquire a copy of the show, some of us with 10 different versions (from difference tape sources).   The donation page setup for their foundation was set to close Jan 23rd. Did you donate to the charity?
